A few months ago, I shared the news that I had published a new book. What I didn’t mention at the time is that I was actually working on two books in parallel. They overlapped in some areas, and now I’m excited to announce that the second one has just been released, once again in partnership with BPB Online.
Introducing - A Guide to Test Automation Architecture

Many organizations struggle to realize true value from their test automation. Sometimes the problem is outdated frameworks or tools that can’t keep up with modern delivery needs. Other times, it’s the trap of investing heavily in rigid platforms that create technical lock-in, making it difficult to adapt, scale, or innovate.
The reality is this: automation only delivers real impact when it’s approached with the same design thinking, architecture, and engineering discipline as the applications it’s built to test.
Testing isn’t a box to tick at the end of a project—it’s a strategic pillar of software engineering. And your automation framework should embody that.
In a Guide to Test Automation Architecture, I explore how principles of software testing and software architecture must converge to create automation solutions that are robust, scalable, and tool-agnostic.
Inside, we’ll cover:
How to design frameworks that embrace change rather than resist it.
Embedding performance and security testing from the start, not as afterthoughts.
Seamless integration of testing into DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
You’ll also find real-world case studies that reveal what works (and what doesn’t) when these principles are applied in production. Additionally, we’ll examine emerging technologies, such as AI-driven testing, containerization, and cloud-native systems, that are shaping the future of software quality.
Whether you’re a test engineer, developer, or technology leader, this book equips you to move beyond “just automating” and instead build a test automation ecosystem that truly delivers business value.
If you’re ready to rethink what automation can be, and to design it as thoughtfully as the software it supports, I’d love for you to check out the book. I’m also eager to hear your feedback and discuss the ideas it explores.
